Selected Readings: The Thought of Dr. AbdulHamid Abu Sulayman (1936-2021)
It is with great sadness that the CICW learned of the passing of one of the great Muslim scholars and leaders, Dr. AbdulHamid AbuSulayman (1936-2021). Dr. AbdulHamid was a supporter of the CICW from its very inception. His ideas have left a permanent mark on our Center's mission. We ask Allah SWT to reward him for everything he did for the Ummah, enter him into Paradise, and grant his family patience and perseverance.
For the past year, the CICW has worked with Al-Hadarah Center in Cairo to produce a representative selection of Dr. AbdulHamid's thought and ideas. Brilliantly edited and introduced by Dr. Nadia Moustafa, the book is a cross-section of major writings and ideas Dr. AbdulHamid produced and published. The book is divided into three main sections: (1) the Islamic methodological vision; (2) political and economic issues; (3) education and society.
Dr. M. Yaqub Mirza, the CICW founder/president and Dr. AbdulHamid's friend and associate during the last several decades, wrote the book's foreword.
The CICW is grateful to al-Hadara Center, which had gifted this book to the CICW in recognition of Dr. AbdulHamid's immense contribution to the Ummah.
The book is in Arabic and it is available for free download below.
